Snowden Show (I met D. Solrac!)

taxi.jpg

So…yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting D. Solrac for the very first time! She is such a sweetheart & oh so very pretty! We took a trip to Atlanta, GA to see Snowden. A nice man named, Dawit was our cab driver for the evening. This ^ is not a pic of Dawit’s cab, but it was a cab that was parked in front of the venue. How very appropriate that we should see a cab with the name, “Morgan” on it. Although, it would have been way cooler if it would have read: “Solrac & Morgan!” We had a fabulous time! There were 2 opening bands that played before Snowden. The first band was called Twin Tiger, and they had a certain shoe-gazer sound going on which is always a good sound to have in my book. They were really, really good, and we gave them the Solrac & Morgan seal of approval. We are thinking of signing them to our up-and-coming record label. Hahaha! Snowden sounded incredible! The show was sold out, but we managed to grab a spot on the front row until…the 3 tallest guys at the show squirmed their way in front of us! Luckily, that didn’t last too long, and they were soon on their way back to the bar. Solrac & I anxiously awaited hearing Jordan (lead singer) announce the song Ugg had asked him to dedicate to us, but it didn’t happen. I’m sure he probably just forgot (yeah, right). For those of you who don’t know, Ugg & Jordan are on e-mailing terms. He even refers to her as “honeychile.” So, back to the show…the bass player was on fire! I have never seen a girl play bass quite like she did. She & the lead singer totally went the fuck off a few times, & it was really entertaining to watch. Each member of Snowden are truly talented musicians. This band is well worth checking out if they ever come to a venue near you. Anyway, fun times were had! 3. HAHAHAHHHA!!!!!!!! That pic of Jordan is cute!
That show was great, but the greatest thing was meeting the wonderful and beautiful Morgan!!!
    What a great night.

  4. You guys met each other? That’s so awesome!! I hope you guys had a great time :)

  5. Hi Me!

We did have a great time! Maybe one day we can all get together!!!!

  6. Hey MOrgan -
you forgot to tell the part where the young nerdy guys kept asking us to go to some weird bar with them after the show. ahhahahahah!!!!!!

  7. Yes, I did leave out quite a few details about the trip. I think that guy totally had the hots for you! I also failed to mention the throw back jams that the club across the street was blaring. hahahahaha Maybe you need to write a review too! :)

  8. you forgot to tell the part about jordan not dedicating a song and wearing ugly pants :D:D:D

  9. !!!!! Sounds like you two had so much fun !!!!!

    Jordan’s cute. :)

  10. Jordan did wear ugly pants - but in his defense, I think it is all about the music for him. He has bigtime potential for being really cute, tho. Maybe with the new album he will get an old model girlfriend who will buy him some new clothes. (haha)

We did hear some new songs of the new album, which was really exciting - One stood out - it is called “White Lies”. I hope it pops up on youtube.

Yes, we did get asked out on a date by a really nerdy guy while we were waiting for the ever-late Dawit (damn those late night phone calls!) I had to refuse, tho, because we were so tired and had to go to bed. (haha) Which, by the way, never really happened because of the damn cab driver calling us a million times in the middle of the night, and then the blaring Latin music on the alarm clock that went off at 6am. The best thing about Waiting for Dawit (sounds like a great title for a play) was the club across the street that was blaring Bobby Brown, Michael Jackson, and Lionel Richie - Morgan had to hold me back from going in there - it was so tempting! I mean, how can you not want to dance to “Dancing on the Ceiling” when it is playing at 1000 decibels? (not really!)

  11. ^ HAHAHAHAHA! Why did we not take a pic of Dawit or the dude who had the hots for you that wanted to continue partying at a place called Halo? Oh well, maybe next time. I still have Dawit’s number in my cell phone. hahaha And I also still have that horrible scent from the sushi restaurant stuck in my nose…from time to time I still get whiffs of it & then almost puke. Note to anyone in the restaurant business: never burn scented candles in a restaurant.

  12. Ugg - Haha! I was trying to be polite & skip the ugly pants/shirt part. I DO need to add the bit about the song dedication! I will do that in a second!

  13. You are very nice, Morgan! I see that you kindly left out any info about the second band that opened.
I cannot believe that you can still smell that awful candle!
Call Dawit and tell him to send you a pic of himself! hahha

  14. Yes, that 2nd band…well, I was always taught that if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all. Mum’s the word! hehehe

  15. I knew that you were taught that! I wont tell either…

  16. Now you have to tell, okay? I want to know how bad they sucked.

  17. HaHa! They weren’t technically a bad band, they just weren’t my type (or Morgan’s type) of band. They were kind of a party - frat boy type band, I think.

  18. Oh, darn. I wanted dirt, Solracky.

Wait a momento! Ugg is on emailing terms with that curly haired dude?! Hahahahha! What?! You guys are so secretive!!! ’splain, plz.

Ugg, what r you up to! And I’m pretty sure you don’t look like a monster with your bangs! :)

  19. hahahahha. YES I EMAILED him. or the band once. and he answered. and i thought he loved me. BUT HE DIDN’T. boohooo. hahaha. just kidding. and then i wrote him another email, i kinda creepy one hehe. NO IT WASN’T CREEPY. i told him morgan and solrac were going to see snowden. and i asked him to dedicate a song to them. AND HE DIDN’T. BUT I’M NOT MAD. hahhah.
AND yes, no i don’t look like a monster. it was just at first. hahaha. i’m use to it now!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

  20. Ugg, Honeychile, You look NOTHING like a monster! You are beautiful! ;)

  21. Now I wanna see Snowden! Can someone suggest they come to Louahvul? And shouldn’t they be droppin’ another album soon?

  22. Tamuchi - They played several new songs @ the show so I think that a new album is indeed in the works. :)

Solrac - Any word on when that new album drops? haha

  23. Taht new album should be dropping soon, I bet!!!!!!
